WOW! I was excited to be asked by Wolfgang Buttress to photograph the UK Pavilion at Milan Expo Last year. You can see that HERE. This year The HIVE is back. This time at KEW GARDENS, London. Its just impossible to explain the experience of the installation, its just so atmospheric and almost conjures a dreamlike state. For me at least. Its just magical. So when I was asked to come to Kew to photograph it again this year I jumped at the chance. Thinking of the experience on the run up to the shoot I imagined the energy of a hive, and the beautiful drawings and watercolours by Wolfgang and wondered how I could represent these elements in a photo.
